About Your Guide

I grew up in southern Arkansas bass fishing all the local ponds, lakes, and rivers.  I caught my first 5 pound bass in a neighborhood farm pond when I was only 10 years old and have been hooked on bass fishing ever since!  I caught my first largemouth bass over 8 pounds (8.25) on the Arkansas River in 1983. I fished my first tournament in 1979 at the age of 16 and finished in 3rd place.   Since then I have fished lakes and rivers throughout the country; including Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Florida and of course California.  The variety of waters that I have fished has been a tremendous benefit in diversifying my skills and techniques as an angler and guide.  These experiences have prepared me to be the angler, guide and teacher that I am today.
